We are a small but mighty team, residing within the larger Corporate Citizenship team, and we responsible for managing and growing our Connecting for Good programs including Mobility, Internet, Health and Tech for Good, as well as TELUS Wise, helping thousands of Canadians each year and advancing TELUS’ social purpose and impact in the communities in which we live, work and play.

We are looking for a dynamic and bilingual (in English and French) individual to join our Corporate Citizenship team in the role of Communications Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our Connecting for Good programs. This is a multifaceted portfolio requiring grit, creativity, and exceptional communication as well as relationship and time management skills.

Here’s the impact you’ll make:

Reporting into the Manager, Program Office you will support the following programs:

Mobility for Good®: offers smartphones and wireless plans to youth that are leaving foster care and low income seniors to ensure they can stay connected to friends, family, support workers, etc
Internet for Good®: a program that offers low-cost high speed internet to families in need and people living with disabilities
Here’s how:

Manage the customer-facing inboxes for the Mobility for Good and Internet for Good programs and correspond with customers in both English and French as required
Validate applications and send approvals to customers applying to the various programs
Support customer inquiries and program execution as needed
Provide regular updates on email volumes and trends in customer inquiries and applications
Build and maintain relationships with French speaking partner organizations
Work with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and implement efficiencies that minimize customer effort in joining the programs
Follow-up with customers who have submitted incomplete applications and help them complete the process to benefit from our program
Aid the team in achieving our annual targets and create a quarterly dashboard for each program



Full fluency in spoken and written French & English
Strategic and creative thinking skills; adept with quantitative analysis
Influence and interpersonal skills dealing with decision makers, charity partners and team members
Energetic, collaborative self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and flexible environment
Ability to work well under pressure, with a knack for managing competing priorities and high volumes of work
Demonstrated understanding of corporate philanthropy and familiarity with TELUS’ community investment strategy
Great to haves:

Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
Customer service background
Familiarity with TELUS Internet and Mobility services, as well as agent systems an asset
