Audio Operator - Corus

Division: Global News Toronto
Work Status: 1 Year Contract
Location: Don Mills (Toronto)

About the Role
Reporting to the Broadcast Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will be as follows:
• Manage digital console in a live control room environment
• Operate control of signal flow and audio distribution
• Be responsible for the set-up of intercom and communication necessary to facilitate live remotes including mix-minus feeds
• Coach and direct internal and external voice talent
• Assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of production procedures and on-air quality
• Trouble-shoot when necessary to meet tight deadlines
• File management, archive and restore audio materials
• Other duties as required

About You
What We Need From You:
• Post-secondary education in a broadcasting related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating audio in a live television broadcast environment
• Strong knowledge of Electronic News Production System – ENPS
• Experience with Calrec Digital consoles, Riedel intercom, Yamaha DME and RVON considered an asset
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Availability to work late nights, early mornings and weekends
