TORONTO – Interactive Ontario has issued a new report designed to guide Canadian interactive digital media producers in taking advantage of international co-production opportunities.

Created in association with DEEP Inc. and Amythos Media, with funding from the Ontario Media Development Corporation, Canada Media Fund and Bell Fund, International Digital Media Co-Production: A Guide for Canadian Companies serves as a comprehensive guide for Canadian companies wishing to collaborate with content creators in other markets.

It outlines the reasons a Canadian company may choose a co-production – such as addressing financing gaps, being able to take on projects of a larger scope and having access to new audiences – as well as some of the challenges they may face.  It also provides actionable information on funding sources to explore in Australia, France, Germany, United Kingdom and New Zealand, countries that are frequent collaborators with Canada in digital media co-production.
