Feds officially launch Copyright Act review

OTTAWA – As one of its last actions before their Christmas break, the House of Commons passed a motion Wednesday to kick off the mandatory five-year review of the Copyright Act.The Industry Committee will conduct the review of the 2012 Act in 2018.The issues are complex, broad and deep, as Cartt.ca explained in a story here last month.Watch for our coverage of the committee hearings in the new year.
