Canada, NZ matching fund unveils first three co-pros

TORONTO - The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and NZ On Air (New Zealand) will contribute $1.2M (CAD) to three digital media co-productions through the new Canada-New Zealand Digital Media incentive.Announced last October, the fund was established to encourage the coproduction of innovative digital media projects for online audiences that would appeal culturally to both Canadian and NZ audiences. The three transmedia projects, detailed here, include a challenging online interactive documentary, a comedy project, and an app for young children.  Of the total, the CMF will contribute $618,000 and NZ On Air will contribute $582,000, and each project will receive $400,000.“The matching fund...
