ATN nabs rights for Indian Super League Soccer, new Afghanistan cricket league

TORONTO - Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN) is the exclusive Canadian television rightsholder for the first ever Afghanistan cricket league.

Afghanistan premiere League 2018 (APL 2018) runs from October 5 - October 21 and features franchise teams Balkh Legends, Kabul Zwanan, Kandahar Knights, Paktia Panthers and Nangarhar Leopards. The league takes place in Sharjah, UAE and the strategic objective is to bring this league into the top three T20 leagues in the world.

ATN will air all 23 matches of the inaugural edition of APL 2018 live on its Commonwealth Broadcasting Network (CBN) channel and ATN Cricket Plus across Canada.

The broadcaster also announced that it has acquired the broadcast rights for the fifth season of Indian Super League Soccer to be held in India between September 2018 and March 2019.

Indian Super League has become the third highest attended football league in the world and will feature 10 clubs playing at 11 different venues with a total of 90 group stage games and 5 playoffs.  All games will air live on ATN’s CBN, ATN Cricket Plus, ATN Life, ATN Punjabi Plus, and ATN Bangla.
